HS5 is the strongest wax in the HS series. Its excellent wear resistance and grip on dry snow make it suitable for use at low temperatures. Ideal for alpine and cross-country skiing.
Although the wax has a low temperature rating, its lower melting point compared to many competing products makes it easier to apply without compromising glide. It is suitable for fresh snow, packed snow and artificial snow.
It takes approximately 8-10 seconds to apply the wax to skis or skates. To improve durability, the wax can be warmed to room temperature after cooling (10 minutes). It should become liquid within approximately one minute. A good wax sponge is important for effective melting.
HS5 can be used as a base wax or as a base for coatings. Recommended ironing temperature is 150 °C.
